The terms health and wellness are frequently used interchangeably. Although a person cannot have one without the other, they are two distinct concepts with widely disparate meanings.

According to the World Health Organization, health is "a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being, rather than merely the absence of disease or infirmity (illness)."

The World Health Organization defines wellness as "the optimal state of health of individuals and groups," and it is expressed as "a positive approach to living."

The primary distinction between health and wellness is that health is the desired outcome, whereas wellness is the active process of achieving it. You cannot have health unless you first achieve wellness.

A healthy lifestyle entails more than just diet and exercise. So, what exactly is a healthy lifestyle? Today we discuss the components of living a healthy lifestyle and the importance of living a balanced life. Many people, including myself, advocate for the benefits of leading a healthy lifestyle, but what exactly does that entail?

A healthy person, in general, does not smoke, is at a healthy weight, eats a balanced healthy diet, thinks positively, feels relaxed, exercises regularly, has good relationships, and benefits from a good life balance.

Robert Joh, Student

“I’ve been on the program for two weeks. I am really excited, it’s unbelievable! In two weeks, I am just so empowered. Every day I look forward to everything that’s new, so I am excited… on top of everything, I was like, ‘You know what, I’m going to trust Dr. Tracy!’ The staff is just totally awesome! I’m  so glad that I stopped and got on board!”

“I’ve learned so much myself,” “I’ve learned that when I put my mind to something and have a good enough reason I can achieve anything. I think my sister would be proud.”
